Rufus Woods Lake

Lake Rufus Woods as seen a couple miles down stream from
Grand Coulee Dam.

Rufus Woods Lake  Stretches over 40 Miles Down River from the
Grand Coulee Dam to Chief Joseph Dam on the Now Tamed
Columbia River.  

  2 Miles Down river from Grand Coulee Dam is an  Easy Access
Boat Launch.  Find it on the Lower River Access road on the East
side of the River.

    Rufus Woods was a publisher of the Wenatchee Daily World
almost a century ago. He was one of the future minded men who
saw the benefits of diverting a tiny amount of  precious Columbia
River Water for Orchards and Farms throughout Eastern
Washington's Columbia Basin.
